Our Second Birthday Bash

Hello everyone, I thought I would share the logo I've created ready for our Birthday bash next month which kicks off on April 1st. We have so much fun lined up and some totally awesome prizes.

It would be really great if you would help us spread the word and add it to your sidebars.

And here's a second version just in case your blog needs a lower resolution image as mine did for some bizarre reason.

March Challenge

Welcome to your March challenge here at Sir Stampalot where we are raring to go with an extra busy month as we will be sharing two DT projects with you in March, but you only get to see one today............I know I'm a real tease, but you will be able to see the second batch of DT work on 18th March when we will also be sharing a bit of exciting news with you then as well.

Following on from CHA where so many new crafty goodies were released, the deliveries are now arriving in store and the boxes are piled high waiting to be unpacked..................it's like Christmas all over again. So far the new collection Penny Black stamps are already on  the shelves, along with new releases from Woodware, Magnolia and the latest Magnolia magazine which is just flying out of the shop. You can find all the new releases from all the major companies here..........and below is a little taster of the new Penny Black stamps, Tim Holtz border dies and some really sweet floral spacers.........

Now for this months challenge. A few weeks ago I sent all the DT two kits and asked them to all come up with something using each. The kits for each challenge were pretty much identical, the DPs' and ribbons varied a little but are all from the same family and I was so excited seeing what they all came up with. An you might expect they created some wonderfully inspirational pieces................ and at this stage I can hear you all asking 'but what's this months challenge', well it's simple really:

********Take inspiration********

.............from any of the DT's pieces of work or the kit itself. You can make anything you like and choose where you take your inspiration from........... perhaps some of the kit colours, pearls and swirls, or maybe one of the DT card designs and go with your own colours. All we ask is that you remember to tell us in your post where you took your inspiration from and of course follow the rules up top.

Here's the kit, Alla Prima DP, Spellbinder swirls, Nesties 23 card base, ribbon, pearls and buttons and of course all is available from Sir Stampalot

Now for this month fabby prize from the Stampalot guys who really do spoil you lot and you know the prize will be full of lovely crafty goodies, but I'm gonna be a real tease yet again and keep you in suspense for a few more days and just share this pretty little box.......................imagine what might be hidden inside...............

After all that news I had better share some inspiration and as always the Design Team have come up with some stunning work and all thrown their own unique spin on the kits I sent them, please do pop along to their individual blogs and show your appreciation for all their hard work.

March Guest Designer Cinzia worked with her own goodies, so offers yet another inspirational option for you with all those beautiful pinks and flowers

This challenge is all about my fabulous Design Team and although we usually list work alphabetically, I thought it only right that I took a back seat this month and let you feast your eyes on their work, but I did have a little play as well.

A Krafty Affair

Good Morning crafters and Happy Mothering Sunday to all you crafty Mum's out there.

I promised you I would be back later in the month with the work the DT came up with for the second challenge I set them didn't I, well here I am to show you their wonderful work.

And to share a little bit of excitement coming your way which I alluded to in this months challenge post. The first of April will be our second Birthday, how quickly that time has gone and I can't believe the DT remains almost the same as it did from the start, so I reckon I must be pretty lucky in having such a fab team.................thank you girls for all you wonderfully inspirational work during that time..............and putting up with me for so long. Be sure to keep a look out for that post on 1st April.

Back to the DT's second challenge which is called a 'Krafty Affair', Janice chose the lovely My Minds Eye DP's for this one, and all those and all the other elements can be purchased from Sir Stampalot. The best place to check out is the What's New section of the website where all the new season products are being added daily.

Here's one of the kits sent to the DT's, the DP's varied slightly but were all from the same Kraft Funky Happy Days pack which are double sided., hinges cut on coredinations using a TH die, seam binding, cord, black gems and a button

This post is really about the work the DT did and to showcase their talents, but it didn't seem fair to expect them to to come up with work and not do something myself, so here's my take on the kit.

A super prize and loads of new goodies

Good Morning crafters, I thought it was time I shared a peek at what's in that prize winners box.............well, as you will see there's no way all of this will fit into that box as there is a superb collection of goodies wood mounted stamps, stamp sheets, bazzil and a huge collection of DP's, not to mention ribbons and gems to embellish and even some brilliance ink.

The new season goodies are still arriving in store at Sir Stampalot and you need to check in daily at the Whats New section to make sure you don't miss a single thing.................in fact you can scroll back fifty pages and it's still all new and here's just a little of what you will find.................

Sarah Kay have some lovely new stamps, how sweet is this pretty little lass and there's some really interesting looking Vintaj brass embellishments ideal for scrapbooking and cardmaking

There's a great range of new stamps from Le Blanch...................

The new Teresa Collins DP's and mathching brads and rhinestones are a must have...............already got mine and they have a lovely texture to them as well as being double sided and beautifully coordinated..........packs of Bakers Twine and of course all the new Penny Black and Magnolia stamps and DP's.............

I think that's about it for today folks, but don't forget I will be back Sunday with the second share of the DT's work with the kits they have been working with.....................and there will be news of what's coming up on 1st April...................I promise it's not an April fool, much better than that.

Still plenty of time to join in this months challenge in the post below this one, I think we might have scared away a few of you with the inspirational theme but take another look, your inspiration can come from the colours of the kit the DT worked with, or any of their pieces of artwork from their l/o through to just one of the elements on their cards.

Word Verification

I'm sure those of you who are regular bloggers will have come up against the new style Word Verification which frankly is an absolute pain to read, often requiring several attempts to get the correct letters and you will know it takes much longer to get round your favourite blogs.

So imagine how hard it has become for those of us on Design Teams, as it means we don't always get to some of you because the time we set aside for commenting is wasted faffing about with Word Verification when we should be moving on to the next entry. So in future, much as we love visiting you all, we will no longer leave comments on blogs using word verification.

If you are concerned about spam or unwanted comments, then comment moderation will allow you to  protect your blog, having Word Verification in place will not protect you. It's easy to switch off, but rather than go  over it again I suggest you go check out this excellent post on Ashley's blog. My thanks to Ashley for allowing me to link to you.

We are always happy to hear your views, so please do leave us a comment and let us know what you think.

February winners

Hello Peeps, hope you are all well, it's time for me to announce the winner of our February Challenge and our Top 3.

You certainly enjoyed having fun In the Garden with us and what an absolutely stunning collection and variety of work you shared with us. I think we decided that this months entries presented us with the toughest selection process in a long while and coming to our final four was far from easy. But we got there in the end and much as you all deserve to be winners, we had to come down to our final four, so without further ado the winners of this months fabulous prize from Sir Stampalot is.............................

Carol with this Devine creation

Well done Carol, please mail me brenda@ibas.co.uk with your full postal addy so I can arrange for your prize to be posted off to you.

And out Top three which are actually a Top 4 due to the beauty of artistic licence are......................

Aisling down the bottom of the garden

Birgit birds and bees and flowers too

Valerie over the garden fence

Bonnie full of Summer colour

Huge congratulations to you all and please go collect our Top 3 button to display on your blogs.
